2fawcett Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join an established business in Leicester. This is a varied and busy role handling day-to-day financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with a variety of accounting activities so we are looking for someone who can manage multiple workloads and is organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record purchase and sales invoices, as well as credit notes, efficiently and accurately.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
- Assist with bank statement reconciliations and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Help with month-end activities, including posting journals and completing reconciliations.
- Respond to finance-related queries from colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Support preparation of management reports and other financial documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and internal controls.
- Provide general administrative support within the finance team.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a finance or accounts role.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience using accounting software.
