Job Title: Accounts Administrator (Part-Time)
Location: Derby (DE22)
Salary: Up to £30,000 pro rata
Job Type: Permanent | On-site | Part-time (15–20 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Administrator to join a well-established accountancy practice based near Derby city centre.

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience working within an accountancy practice, who can support the smooth day-to-day running of the office while providing administrative support to both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Filing and organising accounts documentation
  • Supporting with the preparation and submission of tax returns
  • Providing general administrative support to accountants
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records and documentation

Requirements

  • Accountancy practice background is essential
  • Previous experience working in a similar role would be ideal
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
