Job Summary
2fawcett Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established business in Ilkeston to recruit a hands-on and confident Part-Time Accountant. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the business — maintaining accurate records, managing key financial processes, and providing clear insight to support commercial decision-making.
Duties
- Maintain and update the company’s asset register
- Manage and reconcile hire purchase (HP) agreements
- Prepare accurate management accounts and monthly reports
- Assist with budgets, cashflow forecasting, and financial planning
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external accountants
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
Requirements
- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally gained within an SME and a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communicator with confidence and a professional approach
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Proficient in Sage and Excel (or similar accounting systems)
