Are you a Transport Manager with experience in the FMCG Sector? 2fawcett recruitment want to hear from you. We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manger to provide essential support to the operations manager of a client on a full time permanent basis based out of an office in Bradford.

Responsibilities of the Transport Manager

• Monitoring driver compliance to tachograph rules and supporting drivers to improve compliance and dealing with any infringements through de-brief and escalation as required
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers have necessary health and safety legislation
• Route planning of FMCG products
• Manage and motivate a team, lead by example.
• Maintaining fleet compliance, with a key focus on defect reports, servicing, and MOTs
• Compliance with all quality, legal Health and Safety documentation and standards
• Working with the Project Management team, ensuring they have full understanding of Drivers hours, assisting them with work/route planning
• Rota scheduling, routing and despatching
• Actively recruiting drivers for new roles ensuring they adhere to all DVSA and company requirements
• Identifying training requirements including mandatory regulatory training, as well as checking driver’s vocational driving licences every 3 months

Requirements of the Transport and Plant Manager

• Transport Manager CPC and Fleet Management experience is essential
• Extensive experience and knowledge of tachograph, driver hours and the industry
• Understanding of the Road Traffic Act and DVSA regulations
• IOSH Managing Safely is desirable
