2fawcett are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator for our client located in Sheffield on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Administrator

  • Processing BACs payments for clients
  • Coordinating with HM Revenue & Customs
  • Setting up new payroll clients
  • Collaborating with managers and team members on payroll enquiries and reporting
  • Assisting with training and development for Payroll Administrators
  • Managing a personal portfolio of payroll clients from initiation to completion, encompassing various workplace pension schemes
  • Conducting advanced payroll tasks such as establishing pension schemes, closing PAYE schemes, and analysing payroll data
  • Providing recommendations to the Manager in relation to client methods & procedures on payrolls
  • Maintaining files, records, and the departmental database
  • Handling any ad hoc queries
  • Communicating directly with clients via email and telephone

Requirements of the Senior Payroll Administrator

  • Experience in a payroll bureau environment
  • CIPP qualifications (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Experience on Sage 50 payroll
