Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Role: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000+ p.a (DOE)

2fawcett Recruitment are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic company that provides Engineering Consultancy and Design Services to organisations in the energy sector. Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for high-pressure pipeline and plant systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Lead the electrical design process, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Manage projects within client-defined budgets and timescales.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the overall success of projects.
• Work independently, demonstrating initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures during design and construction activities.
• Set a positive example in work ethic and dedication to high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

• Experience working within utility, pipeline, or related industries.
• Strong working knowledge of applicable design codes, including BS7671 – electrical wiring regulations and British Standards.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with an appropriate professional institution.
• Actively working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.

Desirables:

• C&G 2396 Electrical Design qualification.
• Proficiency in AMTECH software.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of ATEX / DSEAR compliance.
• Familiarity with formal process safety assessments (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, SWDS).
• Understanding of Safety Integrity standards (BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511).
• The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out Instrumentation Designs, and a knowledge of instrumentation systems would be an advantage.
