Role: Quality & Compliance Manager

Overview

2fawcett are recruiting for a Quality & Compliance Manager to join a market leading manufacturing business in Burton on Trent, initially on a 12-Month contract. Reporting to the Purchasing Director, You will manage the facilitation and regulation of Product Safety, Product Compliance and Packaging across the full product range.

Responsibilities of the Quality & Compliance Manager

  • Providing specialist guidance and support to all areas of the business on all matters related to Quality, Compliance and Packaging
  • Monitoring of product error rates.  Product review, inspection and resolution of product quality issues including safety incidents
  • Carry out risk assessments and fit for purpose testing on products to ensure products meet the required standards, are safe and of a quality to last the intended environment
  • Work with Marketing, NPD and the Buyers to resolve product quality issues
  • Own the quality forum to drive down the percentage of customer complaints due to quality, damage and packaging, reporting progress
  • Fully assess all bespoke products, recording testing requirements, ensuring that all trade and export are fully tested as well as high risk products, followed by all other bespoke products while managing the product testing budget
  • Work with Marketing, NPD and the Buyers to resolve product quality issues

Requirements of the Quality & Compliance Manager

  • A minimum of 3 years Quality and Packaging experience within a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work closely with and influence others (Goods In, Dispatch as well as line managers, peers and direct reports where required)
  • Knowledge/ experience of operational processes
  • Experience of QC inspection and AQL guidelines
  • Supplier/Factory auditing procedures
  • Import and export from European countries
