2Fawcett are recruiting for an accounts assistant, to join a company located in Burton-on-Trent.

Working for this specialist business you will be joining a small but friendly team. Working as the accounts assistant you will report directly into the Finance Manager and be responsible for supporting with the finance function as well as supporting with office duties.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Enter coding details as appropriate
  • Save all invoices/credit notes
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Dealing with internal goods received queries
  • Preparation and posting of supplier payments on a timely basis
  • Investigate and resolve payment issues
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements

Requirements of the Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Be able to time manage and priorities own workload
  • Have previously worked within an accounts function previously
  • Previous usage of Accounts software would be advantageous but not essential

  • Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours – standard hours are between 08:30 – 16:30 however start and finish times can be flexible.
