Project Manager – Electrical Transmission

Where will you be working?

2fawcett Infrastructure are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of integrated energy and infrastructure solutions across the UK.
Our client delivers essential projects across electricity transmission and distribution, renewable energy, EV infrastructure, smart metering and home decarbonisation.

They specialise in the design, construction, and commissioning of high-voltage substations (up to and including 400kV) and the delivery of critical power infrastructure—ensuring reliable energy transmission and supporting the UK’s transition to net zero.

You’ll join a team at the forefront of the energy transition, collaborating with experts across multiple disciplines to deliver infrastructure services that truly power our future.

 

What will you be doing?

Are you ready to lead high-impact electrical transmission projects?
This role offers the opportunity to manage nationwide Design & Build M&E projects, with immediate activity focused in South Wales.

You’ll oversee projects from concept to completion, driving excellence in safety, quality, and commercial performance. Working with an expert in-house team and trusted supply partners, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standards.

Your leadership and technical knowledge will help shape future bids, influence project strategy, and deliver outstanding results for clients.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience delivering National Grid substation build projects (with working knowledge of NG SRs, Rules, EPC/M&E frameworks)
  • Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary Design & Build teams
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
  • Qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field (Project Management certification such as APM/PMP advantageous)
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with NEC contracts
  • Knowledge of HSWA, CDM, EAWR and associated regulations
  • Ability to manage risk, opportunity, and change throughout the project lifecycle
  • Proficiency with project management software
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget
