Location: Burton

Salary: £30k – £35k (dependant on experience/level)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm

2fawcett are currently recruiting for a Production Controller to join a manufacturing business in Burton. As Production Controller, you will play a key role within the business bringing together all departments and detail business requirements.

Requirements of the role include:

• Maintain business build plan – initially on Excel with a view to moving to Sage based (Power BI reporting or Sage graphical scheduler)
• Attend production meetings and action agreed outcome within Sage 200 ERP system
• Launch works orders to the system when BoM has been released from Engineering
• Maintain correct start/finish dates within the system
• Liaise with stores with regard to kitting dates
• Liaise with Engineering when BoM changes are made – make stock transfers when applicable
• Liaise with Sales, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials Handling to ensure agreement is reached for works order release and administration
• Complete Works Orders as required. Ensure all materials are issued to the Works Order within Sage 200
• Review job costing at point of works order completion – materials and labour
• Understand all areas of Sage MRP with a view to becoming a Superuser
• Drive improvements in processes and software
• Feedback to Engineering, Raise ECR’s, for BoM changes
• Involved with Lean activity

Requirements of the candidate include:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Understanding of MRP systems/works orders (preferably within Sage 200)
• Ability to effectively converse with stakeholders
• Good Excel ability as well as Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail
• Planning abilities
• Able to stay focussed on task and good time management
• Experience of a manufacturing business
• Knowledge of Lean – 5S, Six Sigma etc
