Role: Principal Lifecycle Manager

2Fawcett –Construction & Infrastructure are proud to be partnering with an industry leading organisation in Facilities and Estate Management. Our client looks after thousands of assets and we have a unique opportunity for a Principal Lifecycle Manager to manage the cyclical replacement of the assets on a £14m per annum PFI contract across 43 schools in Northampton. This contract has a further 15 years to run and offers you the opportunity to run and manage the Lifecycle aspects of this contract with autonomy.
You will manage 2 direct reports and report into the Head of Commercial within the Commercial structure.
You will have prior experience of PFI and lifecycle management with strong financial acumen based around a dynamic asset management environment.
You will have a degree in a related Construction, Quantity Surveying or Asset Management discipline.
This role is a combination of office and site based, with occasional working from home
Own the element of works from procurement through mobilisation and to final account of each project, ensuring all fund plans are updated periodically
Ownership & Accountability for all aspects of the finances activities in terms of the Lifecycle project works to ensure that best value is being realised through the projects from point of costing/tender through to planning, implementation and execution and final account. (WIP, debt, cash and P&L)
Manage the supply chain to deliver service excellence and account profitability
To deliver the works as from condition surveys and routine inspections
Be accountable for health and safety culture which ensures safe processes, procedures and behaviours as well as continuous improvement, encompassing all aspects of the CDM regulations.
Monitor asset condition and plan the works to enable the asset to be compliant with the Project Documents, the Authority Requirements and the handback criteria
Develop the fund to deliver the requirements of the Lifecycle schedule whilst monitoring cashflow and the P&L requirements of the account.
You will deliver both cyclical and replacement activities to the quality standards expected of the Project Documents
The role will be the Principal contact in relation to Lenders Technical Advisors reviewing condition
You will liaise closely with functional departments to ensure an open and collaborative approach to lifecycle delivery
Close liaison with the SPV will be required to enable a culture of no surprises
