Hours: (8am-5pm, Monday-Thursday) (8am-1.30pm Early Friday Finish)

An established manufacturer of high-voltage switchgear and bespoke electrical equipment is seeking a skilled and motivated Control Wirer to join their busy Production Team based in Nottingham. Serving prestigious clients across Marine, Naval, Rail, and Utility sectors, this company prides itself on delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for major projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cut, and crimp wires for fitting into control and relay panels
  • Follow wiring schematics accurately and label wiring components
  • Collaborate with team members through peer checks prior to routine testing
  • Work alongside experienced switchboard wirers, fitters, and fabricators to maintain high standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Support continuous improvement and share best practices
  • Communicate potential issues and contribute to problem-solving
  • Willingness to work overtime when required to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly
  • Strong understanding of schematic and general arrangement (G/A) drawings
  • Proficient in using wire strippers, crimping tools, and wiring equipment
  • Ability to wire control and relay panels to a high standard with attention to detail
  • Right to work permanently in the UK
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude and effective teamwork skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Located within commuting distance of Nottingham
