Our client is seeking a committed and experienced Office Manager to play a pivotal role in the school’s ongoing success, contributing strategically as a member of the leadership team.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Office Manager:

  • Supervise and guide the admin team to uphold excellent customer service and oversee their development through performance reviews and planning
  • Deliver high-level administrative assistance to the Headteacher and leadership team
  • Assist with financial operations such as ordering resources, managing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective use of the school’s budget
  • Ensure that safeguarding protocols are rigorously applied and that data handling aligns with Trust and legal standards
  • Ensure the reception team creates a professional, safe, and friendly environment for all visitors, aligned with safeguarding procedures
  • Design and uphold robust office systems for the efficient handling, storage, and retrieval of both electronic and paper-based documents
  • Lead the admissions workflow and ensure all student data is properly maintained and submitted in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including advertising, job descriptions, pre-employment checks, references, offer letters, and induction in line with Trust policies
  • Keep HR systems current with daily updates, verify HR paperwork (e.g., overtime, leave, expenses) for Headteacher approval, and maintain accurate payroll records
  • Track staff absence, support performance management for direct reports, and ensure compliance with probation and policy procedures

Requirements of the Office Manager:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of basic HR processes
  • Proven experience and ability in a school or business environment
  • This role is subject to an enhanced DBS
