Responsibilities:
• Carry out reactive and planned mechanical maintenance on conveyors, production lines, and packaging equipment
• Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis to minimise downtime
• Replace, repair, and upgrade mechanical components including motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems
• Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing
• Assist with continuous improvement and reliability projects to optimise line performance
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance/audits when required

Requirements:
• Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a maintenance role within a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical skills including conveyor systems, pneumatics, gearboxes, and general factory equipment
• Ability to work independently on breakdowns and planned maintenance tasks
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and hygienic production environment
• Flexible attitude with good communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of health & safety procedures and food hygiene standards
