Overview:
Are you a skilled precision engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a well-established manufacturing business? We are seeking a Manual Precision Cylindrical Grinder to join our team. This role offers the chance to work with advanced equipment, refine your expertise, and contribute to the production of high-quality components.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual grinding machines, including surface and cylindrical grinders.
- Grind various rollers and shafts with precision, handling multiple diameters and lengths.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to meet exact specifications.
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision tools (e.g., micrometres, calipers, and gauges).
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment and address minor technical issues.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of parts processed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in manual precision cylindrical grinding.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience with manual turning is essential.
Advantageous Skills:
- Manual milling experience.
- Familiarity with CNC turning or milling, including programming, setting, and operation.
- Additional machining skills.

Hours:
- Full-time: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:30.
- Designs and manufactures label printing machines.
- Provides in-house training, servicing, and spare parts.
- Offers customized machines for specific customer needs.
- Serves various industries: packaging, textiles, security labels, etc.
- Partners with Konica Minolta for digital presses.
Grinding: is a machining process that uses a wheel to remove material and smooth or shape a workpiece.
Cylindrical Grinding
- A machining process that smooths cylindrical surfaces.
- Uses a rotating grinding wheel to remove material.
- Achieves high accuracy and smooth finishes.
- Commonly used for shafts, rods, and other cylindrical parts.
- Essential for tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
You will be grinding the shafts and rods for the machines, these components basically replace other components within their labelling machines so that they can alter diameters and lengths of their labelling products.
