Hours: 0600-1400/1400-2200 – Rotating

Overview:
We are a rapidly expanding company known for our excellence in providing high-quality aggregates for cement and concrete production. We are seeking a skilled Lead HGV Technician to join our dynamic team in Derby. In this critical role, you will oversee the service, inspection, and maintenance of our fleet of Isuzu HGVs, including Class 1 and Class 2 rigid and articulating vehicles, as well as tankers and powder coating vehicles. This position offers significant growth opportunities, including mentoring and supporting a team of apprentices through their training and development. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing to our continued success and commitment to quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an HGV Technician, particularly with Isuzu vehicles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the service, inspection, maintenance, and repair of HGVs, including Class 1 and Class 2 rigid and articulating vehicles, tankers, and powder coating vehicles.
  • Qualifications: Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in HGV mechanics.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic abilities and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Team Leadership: Experience mentoring and training apprentices or junior technicians.
  • Attention to Detail: High standards for safety and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Driver’s License: A valid UK driver’s license, preferably with HGV categories.
