Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 per annum + Overtime + 20% Performance Bonus

Overview:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team delivering high-quality engineering services to the Rail sector. This role involves providing on-site mechanical support, including repair, modification, and testing, in a dynamic environment. You’ll be involved in a variety of challenging and rewarding tasks, working alongside experienced professionals and advancing your career in mechanical engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site mechanical engineering support for the repair, modification, and testing of equipment in the Rail sector.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform diagnostics, and suggest effective solutions.
- Work closely with senior engineers and welding teams to ensure projects meet industry standards.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with national and international engineering standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, equipment, and procedures.
- Support in the installation, maintenance, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment.
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
- Some experience or strong interest in the rail or mechanical engineering sector.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to adapt to various shifts including days, noon, and nights.
- Full UK driving license (due to the nature of on-site work).
