Overview: As a Graduate Engineer based in Nottingham, you will play a key role in the early stages of your engineering career, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a variety of engineering projects. This role provides an exciting opportunity to progress within the company, with a structured plan to develop into a Project Engineer and eventually move into operations development within 4 years. You’ll be working alongside a talented team of engineers and project managers, contributing to the success of multiple engineering initiatives. Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs
Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Support the creation and development of designs for various projects, using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- 3D Modeling: Gain proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to assist in detailed modeling and design efforts.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and management of engineering projects, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Operations Development: Shadow senior engineers and operations leaders to understand processes with a view to eventually stepping into an operations development role.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain and produce accurate technical documentation, specifications, and project reports.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project execution.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to ongoing process improvements by participating in design and project review meetings.
- Production Support: Provide technical assistance to production teams, troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues as needed.
