Overview: As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will be integral to the design and execution of a variety of engineering projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers to create detailed designs and ensure that all project requirements are met. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in CAD software, project engineering, and project management, who are eager to apply their knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Pay Package / Salary: Starting From £25,000-£28,000 p.a. – Overtime Availability Time ½ + Performance Earning Benefits. Annual Salary Reviews. 48-month Plan to become fully trained with earning potential of £45,000-£50,000 p.a. + Additional Benefits
Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Occasional overtime may be required depending on project demands
Responsibilities:
- Design Creation: Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD or ProgeCAD.
- 3D Modelling: Create precise 3D models using software like Solid Edge or SolidWorks.
- Project Engineering: Assist in resource planning, programming, and managing engineering projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Project Management: Support the management of projects by tracking costs, invoicing, and ensuring that project milestones are met.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Client & Supplier Liaison: Work closely with clients, suppliers, and contractors to gather requirements and ensure accurate project execution.
- Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews, offering insights for continuous improvement.
- Production Support: Provide technical assistance to the production team, addressing any design-related challenges.
Required Experience: At least Knowledge or experience with one of the following or all is preferable
- 2D CAD Software: Experience with AutoCAD, ProgeCAD, or equivalent for creating detailed drawings.
- 3D CAD Software: Proficiency in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar software for modelling.
- Project Engineering: Familiarity with resource planning and project programming.
- Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including cost tracking and invoicing.
