Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our established client based in Walsall. As a growing SME, this is a brand-new opportunity to join the business at an exciting time, contribute to its continued success, and take responsibility for managing the group accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Implement effective cost control measures to optimise financial performance.
• Manage both sales and purchase ledgers.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the daily cashbook.
• Process staff payroll.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, month-end accounts, and maintain cash flow forecasts.
• Lead the financial planning process, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external accountant.
• Mentor and lead finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Assist with year-end accounting duties.

About You:

• Experience working in a similar finance management role.
• Accounting qualification is a bonus but not essential, we welcome candidates qualified by experience to apply.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and problem-solving.
• Be able to remain calm under pressure, especially as you will be working in a fast-paced environment.
