The Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Manager

• Maintain precise financial records to ensure accuracy across the board
• Produce insightful management reports that inform key strategic decisions
• Oversee the full scope of financial operations
• Knowing what a good set of management accounts looks like
• Supervise and lead a team of management accountants and finance assistants alongside the senior leadership team
• Collaborate with auditors to prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with regulations
• Refine and optimise financial procedures by working closely with various internal departments
• Support strategic decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage accruals and prepayments with precision
• Handle invoice financing with expertise, keeping records updated with verified data from Sage
• Resolve queries efficiently and ensure financial data is always up-to-date and reliable

Requirements of the Finance Manager

• Driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about finance
• Experience in a similar role as Finance Manager or Management Accountant
• Happy to work fully office-based
• Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel
• At least AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent), also open to candidates who are qualified by experience
