Role: Finance Assistant

Their Finance Team is integral to our operations, and we are looking for a dynamic Assistant Accountant to join our clients growing, innovative team.


Your Role:
Join our client’s team as an Assistant Accountant and take the next step in your career! You’ll work closely with our clients Management Accountant and Finance Controller, tackling a variety of projects and tasks that drive our finance function. Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Process hourly paid payroll using Sage 50 Payroll
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and manage depreciation
  • Perform general ledger cashbook posting and bank reconciliations
  • Assist the Management Accountant with prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee expenses and credit card functions
  • Support the purchase ledger clerk, addressing queries on complex accounts and assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
  • Provide occasional holiday cover for team members, including sales and purchase ledger duties
  • Support the implementation of additional technology/system features across the finance function
  • Lead or support ad hoc tasks and projects for the Management Accountant and Financial Controller

Requirements of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Communication: Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Expertise in tackling and resolving complex issues.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Qualifications: AAT Studier or QBE considered
