Title: Electrical Engineer

Role: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Salary: £30,000+ (DOE) p.a

2fawcett Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic company that provides Engineering Consultancy and Design Services to organisations in the energy sector. Responsibilities:

• Undertake electrical design for high-pressure pipeline and plant systems.
• Ensure work meets high engineering standards within budget and time constraints.
• Lead by example with enthusiasm, conscientiousness, and attention to detail.
• Quickly learn and apply new skills; work methodically under your own initiative.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain awareness and commitment to health, safety, and environmental procedures related to design and construction activities.

Requirements:

• Experience working within utility, pipeline, or related industries.
• Good working knowledge of applicable design codes, including BS7671 – electrical wiring regulations and British Standards.
• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Registered with an appropriate engineering institution.
• Working towards achieving Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.

Desirables:

• C&G 2396 Electrical Design qualification.
• Proficiency in AMTECH.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of ATEX / DSEAR Compliance.
• Experience with formal process safety assessments, such as HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, SWDS.
• Familiarity with Safety Integrity standards (BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511).
