The Role & Responsibilities of the CAD designer

• Design and develop electrical systems for utility, pipeline, and related industries.
• Apply your expertise in BS7671 (Electrical Wiring Regulations) and British Standards.
• Work towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Prioritize health, safety, and environmental compliance in all design and construction activities.
• Approach work with enthusiasm, precision, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements of the CAD Designer

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, along with registration with a relevant professional institution.
• A City & Guilds 2396 Electrical Design qualification.
• AMTECH (electrical design software)
• AutoCAD 2D for design schematics
• ATEX / DSEAR Compliance
• Process Safety Assessments (HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, SWDS)
• Safety Integrity Standards (BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511)
