Role Overview

2fawcett are seeking a highly organised and results-driven Distribution Manager to oversee our client’s warehouse and logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective distribution of promotional products to clients, maintaining high service levels while optimising processes and costs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the storage, handling, and distribution of promotional products to outlets and convenience stores.
  • Manage warehouse teams, delivery schedules, and logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise distribution processes and reduce costs.
  • Monitor stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory management and forecasting demand.
  • Work closely with suppliers, couriers, and internal teams to resolve any supply chain or logistics issues.
  • Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Use data and KPIs to assess performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, train, and develop distribution and warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints related to distribution, ensuring a high level of service.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and transport logistics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to manage budgets and drive cost-efficiency.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or business (preferred but not essential).
  • Certification in CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Transport Management (advantageous).
  • Forklift licence or warehouse operations training (beneficial).
