Salary: £28,000 – £35,000+ (Dependent on Experience) + Overtime & Benefits

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Sutton in Ashfield. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to create accurate parts
- Perform machining tasks including turning, threading, boring, and milling
- Conduct thorough quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot and resolve any machine or tooling-related issues to minimize downtime
- Ensure all machinery is well-maintained and functioning optimally
- Work with the design and production teams to improve machining processes and efficiency
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within the workshop
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC lathe programming and operation (Mazak or similar systems preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models
- Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring instruments
- In-depth understanding of materials and machining techniques
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure
