The Role & Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

  • Contact potential prospects
  • Identify new markets and opportunities for the business
  • Research the market and customers to identify and generate new leads
  • Ensure the database if kept updated on a daily basis
  • Provide quotations to customers
  • Negotiation to close sales
  • Liaise with existing and potential new customers daily via telephone and email
  • Attend trade shows to represent the business
  • Evaluate your own sales performance and targets
  • Work to dales targets and KPI’s
  • Report on targets to senior management
