We are retained by a highly regarded construction and building services contractor to identify an experienced Building Services Manager (HVAC) to support continued growth within their specialist HVAC division.

This appointment is suited to a proven project leader with strong technical depth, commercial awareness, and the presence to manage complex stakeholder relationships across multiple sectors.

The Role

Reporting at senior management level, you will assume responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of HVAC projects across commercial, retail, domestic, and industrial environments.

You will be entrusted with full operational oversight — from technical execution and team leadership through to financial performance and client satisfaction — with genuine scope to influence how the function develops.

Key accountabilities include:

• Strategic and operational leadership of multiple HVAC projects
• Management and development of supervisory and management-level staff
• Commercial control, including valuations, final accounts, and profitability reporting
• Oversight of Health & Safety, CDM compliance, and quality standards
• Coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and professional teams
• Client liaison at a senior level, ensuring repeat business and long-term relationships
• Contribution to tender strategy and continuous improvement initiatives

The Candidate

We are seeking an established HVAC professional who combines technical credibility with leadership maturity. You are likely to demonstrate:

• Eligibility to work in the UK, no sponsorship will be offered
• A minimum Level 2 NVQ in Heating & Ventilating, supported by relevant HVAC certifications (e.g. F-Gas, mechanical or ductwork systems)
• In-depth knowledge of British Standards and CIBSE guidance
• Demonstrable experience delivering HVAC projects within a contracting environment
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding (JCT / NEC exposure advantageous)
• The ability to lead, influence, and develop teams at multiple levels
• A measured, professional approach with strong decision-making capability
• High standards around governance, compliance, and client delivery
• Full UK driving licence
