Role: Bookkeeper
Salary: Up to £29,500

As the Bookkeeper, you will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Our client, based in Manchester, is a well established, reputable business who pride themselves on the long-lasting relationships they’ve developed within the import and distribution industry.
The Role & Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper
- Process invoice discount submissions
- Ensure bank account and Navision ledger balances match, and resolve discrepancies
- Allocate incoming payments in Navision, including multi-currency reconciliation.
- Set up bank payment approvals, covering manufacturers, service suppliers, rents, utilities, HMRC, payroll, etc.
- Maintain journal entries and post to the general ledger for financial statements (balance sheet, cash flow, income statement)
- Send sales invoices
- Update exchange rates and perform foreign currency revaluation in ERP
- Manage aged debtors, resolve queries, and escalate overdue debts
Requirements of the Bookkeeper
- Previous experience working as a bookkeeper / accounts assistant / assistant accountant
- Qualified by experience or formal qualifications both considered
- Experience working with Navision is beneficial
