Position: Bookkeeper
Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Office Based
Salary: Up to £37,000
Location: Ilkeston
2fawcett are supporting a small, award-winning, family-owned business with a proud 25+year history. We’re looking for a well-organised and experienced Bookkeeper join our client’s friendly team and manage all aspects of invoicing, credit control, payment processing, and accounts preparation.
The Bookkeeper Role: As a pivotal part of our client’s team, you will:
- Manage Sales and Purchase Ledger
- Handle self-billing and statement reconciliations
- Oversee credit control and bank reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Payroll administration
- VAT Returns
- Prepare month and year end accounts
- General office support
- Report to the Financial Controller and interact with our external accountant
Requirements of the Bookkeeper:
- Experience: Hands on experience with Sage Line 50 and bookkeeping
- Qualifications: Formal qualifications (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience considered.
- Skills: Proficiency in Sage 50, Sage Payroll (preferred), Microsoft Office, and Excel
- Attributes: Reliable, motivated, hardworking, flexible, self-organised, and able to handle confidential information
