Role: Bookkeeper
Salary: Up to £30,000

Type: Full-time, Permanent

As the Bookkeeper, you will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Our client, based in Manchester, is a well established, reputable business who pride themselves on the long-lasting relationships they’ve developed within their industry, distributing their own brand of products into wholesale, retail and public sectors.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper

  • VAT Return preparations and submission
  • Coding and batching and posting invoices
  • Month-end journal posting
  • Sales ledger reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit control
  • Monthly payroll
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with stock management
  • Setting up supplier and customer accounts
  • Deal with any HMRC queries
  • Petty cash handling

Requirements of the Bookkeeper

  • Previous experience working as a bookkeeper
  • Qualified by experience or formal qualifications both considered
  • Accounting qualifications CIMA/ACC desirable
  • Experience working in an SME environment desirable
