2Fawcett are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work for a contractor based in Ilkeston.
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager you will offer vital support to ensure smooth running of the accounts function. Providing varied support you will be ensuring efficient and timely payments and reporting.
The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant
Accounts Receivable
Allocate funds correctly and in a timely manner
Invoice Processing
Processing Expense Requests
Credit Control
Cash Book Maintenance
Maintaining the Company Purchase & Sales Ledger
Bank Reconciliation
Raising Sales Invoices
Produce Statements
Accounts Payable
Raise Purchase Orders
Receive & Record invoices from suppliers
Obtain Receipts or other verification when accounts were paid
Process invoices and attach information to the relative project or department for job costing
Match & File invoices with their matching receipts
Make sure invoices are approved on time to meet established payment cycle
Work in accordance with the payment process
Assist with resolution of any bank reconciliation items
Requirements of the Accounts Assistant
Previous experience within a similar role ideally within a SME business
AAT qualified, QBE or recent finance graduate considered
