Overview

2Fawcett are recruiting for an accounts assistant, to join a company located in Burton-on-Trent on a permanent basis.

Working for this specialist business you will be joining a small but friendly team. Working as the accounts assistant you will report directly into the Finance Manager and be responsible for supporting with the finance function as well as supporting with office duties.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

  • Scan invoices/credit notes
  • Enter coding details as appropriate
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Processing invoices
  • Payment runs
  • Credit notes to Purchase Orders & goods received/returned accruals
  • Preparation and posting of supplier payments on a timely basis
  • Investigate and resolve payment issues
  • Administer personal expense claims

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant

  • Be able to time manage and priorities own workload
  • Have previously worked within an accounts function previously
  • Previous usage of Accounts software would be advantageous but not essential
