2fawcett are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team within a business located in the picturesque town of Bakewell. As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and contributing to the smooth operation of the business.
The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
- Prepare, file, and reconcile both manual and electronic invoices
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Provide support for administrative and HR tasks
- Daily maintenance of sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book, and nominal ledger
- Offer ad hoc support as required
- Negotiating with debtors and creditors
- Manage own workload and meet deadlines effectively
Requirements of the Accounts Assistant
- Previous Finance/Accounts Administration experience
- Experience on both sales and purchase ledger
- Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills
