2fawcett are excited to offer a new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant, to become a key member of our clients Finance Team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and profitability of the company, while driving the effective performance of the finance department.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

  • Maintain the supplier purchase ledger
  • Ensure accurate tracking of transactions
  • Entry of sales invoices and credit notes
  • Coding of invoices to the correct budget categories
  • Process staff expenses – including general and fuel expenses
  • Verify that all documents adhere to VAT compliance requirements
  • Handle supplier payments in multiple currencies, including sterling
  • Address and resolve supplier queries as needed
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as needed

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant

  • Experience in a similar role performing these duties
  • Good communication both verbally and written
  • Must drive due to rural location
