2fawcett are excited to offer a new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant, to become a key member of our clients Finance Team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and profitability of the company, while driving the effective performance of the finance department.
The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant
- Maintain the supplier purchase ledger
- Ensure accurate tracking of transactions
- Entry of sales invoices and credit notes
- Coding of invoices to the correct budget categories
- Process staff expenses – including general and fuel expenses
- Verify that all documents adhere to VAT compliance requirements
- Handle supplier payments in multiple currencies, including sterling
- Address and resolve supplier queries as needed
- Perform other ad hoc duties as needed
Requirements of the Accounts Assistant
- Experience in a similar role performing these duties
- Good communication both verbally and written
- Must drive due to rural location
