2fawcett is on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a thriving business in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Due to a long-term illness within the finance team, our client needs immediate hands-on support! With an increase in sales, this role is poised to become permanent in the future. Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

Purchase and Sales Ledger Management: Handle all purchase and sales ledger invoices with ease.

Bank Transactions: Keep the financial flow smooth with daily bank receipts and weekly supplier payments.

Customer and Supplier Relations: Be the go-to person for resolving queries and general phone enquiries.

Expense Processing: Manage expenses, maintain and reconcile petty cash for month-end.

Support Month-End Procedures: Ensure accuracy with supplier statements, prepare month-end payment runs, and send out remittances.

Support to Finance Manager: Assist with supplier and colleague enquiries, order supplies, and keep job orders in check.

Reconciliations: Perform weekly bank and monthly petty cash reconciliations.

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant

Experience in an accounts administration/assistant role

Proficiency with accounting software is a plus

Ability to start at short notice and work comfortably on a temporary basis

AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates are welcome
